The PotenciArte project proposes a task at a recreational, social and cultural level. The miscellany of these areas will result in the execution of fruitful learning. In this case, fun will be the fundamental vehicle to achieve the objectives. Flamenco is one of the most ancient contributions and important that Spain makes to the rest of the world. However, it is a very important cultural element unknown even to members of the same country as to origin, evolution and forms of
expression and projection.
The aim is to learn about and understand the dimension of flamenco as a form of Spanish artistic identification, making this art form available to as many people as possible, regardless of their age and origin. This approach seeks to offer an enriching experience both on an educational and social and personal level. In addition, it is intended to make flamenco a starting point for fostering interpersonal relationships and expanding its reach, granting it the respect and cultural value it deserves.
We will use a participatory and investigative methodology that will be adapted to the age of the students in each class. We will use music with simple rhythms, increasing the complexity as the workshop progresses, and we will introduce the accessories typical of flamenco, such as the fan, the sticks and the shawl. We will encourage a love for music and the possibility of expressing oneself freely through it, learning and enjoying in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
