The Capricho castanet corresponds to our highest range of castanets. It is 100% handmade, using pressed paper, engraved with our JUAN VELA SEVILLA seal. This castanet is characterized by being the lightest of all the ranges. Thanks to its large resonance box we obtain a deep sound with great acoustic quality. Its more rounded shape allows a better adaptation to the hand. In conclusion: they almost play themselves.
Caprice castanets can be chosen from several colours: black with white and green veins, black with white and blue veins, white, white with red veins, white with blue veins, white with green veins, red with white veins, green with white veins and mauve with white veins.
You can choose between a normal sound box, which will provide a deep sound, and a double sound box, which will be even deeper. Regarding the aesthetics of the castanet, you can also, if you wish, remove the spike from the top of the sound box. This modification does not affect the sound of the castanets. Another aspect worth mentioning is that the price includes our special case, handmade with leatherette, sheepskin and metallic finishes. You just have to choose one of the ten available colours.
