Material characteristics:

Bamboo is a 100% natural fibre of plant origin, not animal, with anti-allergic and antibacterial properties. This plant is one of the fastest growing and most reproducing plants in the world, without needing fertilizers or care as it has hardly any predators, so pesticides are not necessary. Also something worth noting is that it is a plant that requires very little water, about 10 times less than cotton . It is a natural, fresh, breathable and sustainable yarn, being 100% biodegradable, with a softness and characteristics that give the garment a spectacular drape.

Soft and absorbent, as well as breathable, bamboo does not irritate and allows easy and continuous washing, which is not at odds with its touch and softness. It protects against UV rays.

Process for manufacturing bamboo wool:

Bamboo wool is obtained by harvesting the bamboo plant, which is cut or broken into strips or chips from which the pulp is made. It is then distilled and finally spun into thread.

Therefore, bamboo fiber is of non-animal origin, and fabrics made from this "wool" are considered eco-friendly garments.

One very positive thing is that it is a renewable resource since it is not necessary to kill the plant to collect the harvest, and it only needs a few months to grow back. In addition, during the growth process, the bamboo plant protects the soil from erosion and helps conserve its water.

The resulting fabric is particularly soft and silky to the touch, more so than cotton. It also has a very elegant sheen and drapes very similar to silk.
