Jerez maintains the flavour of centuries ago and carefully preserves the weight of its history, as can be seen in its wines and its songs. The fruit of this ALBARIZA soil, whose richness in organic matter far exceeds that of most agricultural soils, is the birth of the valued wines of the Marco de Jerez, impregnating the native with the character of these wines: open personality and special sensitivity. That is why these roots of ancient origins have a great effect on the romantic aspect of flamenco singing, delving into the search for the essence and respect for tradition. José Carpio Fernández (Jerez, 1982) uses the uncorrupted truth of the live performance in the naked expression of his gypsy voice. From the bar of the legendary Viña El Majuelo, of the Bodega Fundador, the singer lets himself be carried away by the cordial and relaxed atmosphere created by the generosity of thirty friends, family, colleagues and good fans who meet to listen to him. This is his habitat par excellence, the meeting, the room of the clubs in which flow sensations typical of the great flamenco afternoons, nights and early mornings. His singing, bathed by the freshness of the waters that once surrounded the San Miguel neighborhood, and perfumed by the fragrance of the fields that peeked out over Santiago, is the result of the nature -not without evolution- of the deep ending in that ALBARIZA that keeps all the properties of mystery.
