Synopsis

Thirty-three years, the period covered in this book, from when I wrote my first article for the Cuban magazine 'La Clave', the city where he lived in 1990, after eight years of adventure/training/Viennese bohemia, until the last writings for the digital platform Expo Flamenco. Three long decades in which he idolized ideas and utopias in newspaper columns, articles, programs, and other writings that summarize my concerns as a musicologist.

Flamenco occupies a considerable portion of this volume, the presence of America in music, specifically in Spanish music and in particular in Andalusian music, also frequently appears, a topic that has occupied a good part of my life and that I have collected in my penultimate book 'America in Flamenco' edited and laid out by me, like this one you have in your hands. It also governed the extensive articles that I wrote for the Teatro Real in Madrid since opera is another of my passions. As is the carnival of Cadiz, from which all the collaborations with the 'Diario de Cadiz' have also been collected here. As well as the articles that have been described for the magazine 'Alma100'. There are also some that I wrote for the magazine 'Scherzo' and other loose articles that I have written motu propio.

The index contains the titles, some more illustrative than others.

Not all the texts that have been inserted in books with other authors, comments on records that in these years number in the dozens, and other writings are included, so that the present volume would not end with the treatment with a brick.

I hope you enjoy reading it and I apologize if some ideas are repeated, this is because they are the guiding principles of my thinking about music and musicians.
