Triana is one of the birthplaces of flamenco, especially flamenco singing. A suburb of Seville, when you cross the bridge you enter a kind of time tunnel that takes you to a poor neighbourhood of blacksmiths, potters and farmers, with torches in the streets, neighbours' yards and forges. Triana no longer has anything to do with that 18th century suburb when flamenco began to flourish, but research has allowed us to create a faithful portrait of that paradise of flamenco. On the guided tour of Triana we will learn where gypsy families such as Puyas, Caganchos, Pelaos and Fillos were born and lived. We will visit its yards, now restored and full of foreigners, and its most famous taverns and bars. An hour and a half walk, a lecture in the street, a journey back in time through streets such as San Jacinto, Betis, Pureza, Pages del Corro, Evangelista, Troya, Castilla, Procurador, Febo… Includes a visit to the Cristina Heeren School.

Duration: 90 minutes.

Opening hours: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
