Zambomba 'From Jerez to the Ports' live and for the world at Espacio Expoflamenco

Due to the great reception of the zambomba 'From Jerez to Los Puertos' (with the voices of Aroa Cala, Eva del Cristo and Jesús Castilla; the guitar of Santiago Moreno, the zambomba of Ali de la Tota and Irene Olivares as a guest artist) we are going to offer a second pass for those people who could not experience this great celebration with us at our physical headquarters. But also so that it can be enjoyed anywhere in the world thanks to a free broadcast as a congratulation to all our followers spread across the international flamenco communities.

This time, there are two big news: the open broadcast (after free registration on our platform Expoflamenco TV - Your Flamenco Television.) and the dedication by the participating artists as well as the entire Expoflamenco team to the figure of Manuel Fernández Molina 'Jerez grill'. A symbolic gesture to vindicate the essential work of the remembered guitarist in shaping the Jerez zambomba today.

The event will take place on December 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Espacio Expoflamenco headquarters located in the Los Ramos building on Diego Fernández Herrera street s/n.

The zambomba, its culture: origin and evolution

But there is something else, Espacio Expoflamenco has the vocation to promote and spread our culture in its most diverse manifestations. Before the celebration of the activity, we will have a brief introduction, in the form of a conference, which will deal with the origin and evolution of the zambomba. A rich musical and literary legacy whose nature is of great depth. Where do Christmas carols come from? Why, along with Christmas songs per se, are there other compositions that have nothing to do with the Birth of the Child? Can it be so easily stated that the zambomba has a flamenco character? Is it better nowadays to say that they are Christmas shows rather than zambombas? All these questions will be presented by José María Castaño, coordinator of our space, as an introduction to get to know a universe full of historical nuances before the group's performance.

The entire activity can be experienced in person for 12 euros (we remind you that places are very limited).

Also from anywhere in the world via live or delayed streaming. open broadcast (prior free registration on our Expoflamenco TV platform.
